The 36th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Biomedical Mass Spectrometry (Program)

The 36th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Biomedical Mass Spectrometry (JSBMS) will be held on this September 15th and 16th, 2011 at Hotel Hankyu-ExpoPark in the area of Senri Expo-memorial Park, Osaka, Japan.

This Annual Meeting will be partially collaborated with the Japanese Society of Mass Spectrometry (JSMS). We planned the sessions of four invited lectures and the poster presentation jointed with the JSMS. The participant of our Meeting freely will be able to join in the 59th Annual Meeting of the JSMS held on the same place.

On the first day of our Meeting, we will invite two speakers at the special lectures entitled "Pathology of the Systemic Amyloidosis and the Strategy of the Treatment" by Professor Shuichi Ikeda of Shinshu University School of Medicine and "MALDI Imaging Mass Spectrometry, State of the Art and Future Challenges" by Associated Professor Pierre Chaurand of Montreal University. Also, Director Yoshinao Wada from the Institute of Osaka Prefectural Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health and Professor Frantisek Turecek from Washington University will be invited on the same session. Moreover, we arranged the session of a symposium with New Application to Clinical Microbiology by Mass Spectrometry (Organizer: Prof.Fumio Nomura from Chiba University School of Medicine) and a poster presentation.

On the second day, we prepared two Symposia with the Development of Imaging Mass Spectrometry (Organizer: Prof. Mitsutoshi Seto from Hamamatsu Medical University) and the Update of the Forensic and Toxicological Mass Spectrometry (Organizer: Hitoshi Tsuchihashi from Osaka Medical College). In the Workshop I & II, we designed not only some session of new information with the Mass Spectrometer and the Sample Preparation, but also the Q & A with MS users.

We are looking forward to meeting you on this Sep 15th -16th at Senri, Osaka, Japan.
